Open House Season

Well Spring has sprung, and right after Easter weekend you should expect to see a large spike in activity on both the listing and buying side. With the weather getting better (minus the last two days) Expect an increase in open houses as well.
Open houses are a great way to start getting your feet wet, and getting into some homes, BUT they are by no means, what you should be waiting for once a week. Open houses are just barely the tip of the iceberg, of homes that are on the market. Plus if you are a serious buyer, that home might not ever even make it to an open house before it sells.
The best option would be to contact a Realtor and draft up a game plan for the upcoming listing season. What type of home do you want? Where do you want to live? How much do you want to spend? How many bedrooms, bathrooms? Do you need a garage? Do you want to be in city limits or outside? Answer these questions and more, and a GOOD real estate agent will be able to keep you informed with new properties on the market, the moment they become active.
