So it is much of the same. Listings are still up (year to date) and sales are slightly down. In the actual month of October our listings did take a slight drop compared to last year. Last year we listed 135 homes in the month of October and this year it was 120. Sales, October 2009 we sold 75 homes and this year 71, so very much the same. Again these stats are for Fredericton only
One of the big things you should know though, is your home is worth more than last year, even though sales are down! On average, a single family home, this time last year was selling for $172,300 and this time this year a single family home is selling for $179,600. That is a 4.2% increase or about $7,000. That's awesome!
